Take Part In Counterpart This Summer

Have you taken the Counterpart trail across Lytham yet? 

Some of the artists involved in Counterpart are hosting a series of FREE

Join us at one of Counterpart's FREE artist-led creative workshops and drop-in events taking place during Lytham Festival week (1st - 7th August). These events will be suitable for all abilities, but children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Places at each workshop are limited, however, so please book ahead of time. 

Monday 1st August, 10am - 12.30pm & 1.30pm – 4pm, Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham.

A traditional drawing session with artist, Kathy Dereli, using one of Kathy's sculptures as the subject. 

Tuesday 2nd August, 10am – 4pm at Park View 4U Eco Pod, Park View Road, Lytham. FY8 4JE

Susie Knowles will be sharing her love of printing & gardens in a full day workshop in Park View 4U's Eco Pod. 

Wednesday 3rd August, 10am – 12.30pm & 1.30 – 4pm at Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham.

Artist, Chris Knapman, will be demonstrating how to capture people in caricatures in the Assembly rooms.

Thursday 4th August, 10am – 4pm at Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham.

A BIG drawing workshop, lead by Counterpart Lead Artist, Christine Stringfellow. 

Friday 5th August, 10am – 12.30pm at Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham.

Family art activities - all ages welcome.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday  5 August, 2pm – 3.30pm at Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham.

Counterpart: Lytham Interventions; talk & discussion (& possibly a tour) with Lead Artist, Christine Stringfellow. 

Saturday 6th August, 10am – 4pm at Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham.

Artist, Isabel Howe, will guide you through her process for making beautiful plywood embroidery to enable you to make your own.

Sunday 7th August, 10.30am – 12.30pm & 1.30pm – 4 pm at Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham.

Join intervention artist, Julia Swarbrick to have a go at printing your own creature, based on her work “Memories of Moss & Sand”.
